Before Entering:
- Remove shoes and hats
- Turn off mobile phones
- Ask permission before photographing (often not allowed inside)
Inside the Temple:
- Walk clockwise around shrines and religious objects
- Don't point feet at altars or statues
- Don't touch religious objects or murals
- Speak softly and avoid disturbing those praying
Dress Code:
- Cover shoulders and knees
- Avoid revealing clothing
- Remove sunglasses when speaking to monks
Offerings:
- You may offer money or butter lamps
- Small donations are appreciated but never expected
